I can’t possibly gush enough about this conditioner. This allergy product lives up to the claims on its label and then some.
What I found amazing is that it conditions so well and yet leaves my hair with lots of volume. It helped to smooth away a lot of the damage caused by coloring and processing. (I happen to like to change my hair colour frequently; perhaps as frequently as I change my hair care products! At least, that’s what my husband says.)
How good was this conditioner? Well, here’s my “acid” test: even if I leave my hair for two days before washing and conditioning again, it stays smooth and silky without becoming greasy. This product rinses out clean and leaves my hair so soft; I’ve had people comment when they happened to touch it. Smooth as Silk Conditioner does all these things without weighing my hair down or making me look like I have an oil slick on my head.
I’m definitely hooked.
I have long hair past my shoulders. This conditioner really detangles! I’m used to having significant knots in my hair after washing and conditioning; I had virtually none after using this product.
The bottle tells you the level of conditioning that the product delivers. This is a mid-range conditioning product, neither light nor deep. It’s a perfect level of conditioning for my long, fine hair.
On the downside, this is not an inexpensive product. However, when you consider that its competitors are the really expensive brands that you’ll find at an exclusive hair salon, this product is actually priced very comparably - and it’s definitely worth the price to have my hair looking and feeling its best at all times! With two children under six, I don’t have a lot of time for complicated hair care routines, and this product leaves my hair looking good whether I have time to blow-dry or not.
I haven’t seen this allergy product at drug stores yet. You’ll still have to go to your local health food store or natural product store to find this conditioner, but the search is definitely worth it!
This conditioner pairs nicely with Smooth as Silk Shampoo by Giovanni.
