Great deodorant stick - no aluminum!
When you go to the drugstore, there's no such thing as deodorant for women! Apparently men use deodorant, but we don't. The antiperspirants available to women almost universally contain aluminum, and I don't want to be putting aluminum on my underarms especially given its connection to Alzheimer's disease. I also don't want to be using too many harsh chemicals on my skin, just on principal. Plus, I'm allergic to some chemicals and these I want to avoid. But how am I supposed to find an allergy product in the deodorant aisle?
Well, as I was perusing the products at the local drugstore recently (a hobby of mine), I happened on a deodorant in the women's antiperspirant section! Yes, the women's section! I recognized the brand; it was Ombra, a brand that my Swiss grandmother used way back when I was wee. I checked the container; it was imported from Germany , so it had to be the same one my grandma used. I decided to sample the scents there was chamomile and sport. I liked both, but I settled on a Chamomile stick.
I've been looking for a good natural deodorant for years. Unfortunately, many natural sticks just don't cut it if you know what I mean, and I don't want to smell bad just to avoid chemicals! So, I was hoping that this stick of Ombra might harbor the answer I was looking for in a deodorant. Furthermore, my Swiss grandmother had been a fan of natural products, so I was hoping that her wise wisdom would pay off and this stick would still be as good as it was way back when she applied it.
I am happy to report that Ombra passed the test! I've been using now it for the past few weeks, through some of the hottest spring weather we've had around here for years I might add, and I haven't offended a single nose! The scent of the product is quite nice not too overpowering and it works just like a deodorant should.
Another benefit of Ombra deodorant sticks is that they don't contain any artificial colors or preservatives. The price was quite reasonable as well! So if you want to smell sweet, without the chemicals apply some Ombra.
