Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub - 2 Ounces Scrub

Have you been intrigued by these new at-home microdermabrasion products? I certainly have, and have good reason to be, as I’m 46 and have an eight-month-old daughter. I want to look young!

The claims made for personal microdermabrasion are significant - especially if you watch the infomercials. Seems like a cure-all for older skin - reduction of wrinkles, reduction of brown spots, smaller pores and a whole host of other benefits. After all, you are revealing younger skin when you do it, right?

As sceptical as I can be, I was tempted; but didn’t want the product to be shipped to me forever, as is the contract with many infomercial-type products. I decided to buy a drug-store brand that seemed to have all the same attributes as those I’d seen on TV: a battery-powered applicator that came with the batteries (a nice plus) and a crystal mineral cream to apply to the skin. The drug-store brand was cheaper, and I didn’t have to worry that someone would be expecting me to purchase the cream on their schedule.

I liked it. For a skin allergy product it worked well enough. But it didn’t really capture my fancy the way that I would have expected from watching those infomercials.

Then, I was in the health food store and noticed a new product from derma e - they had their own microdermabrasion cream! I figured I could take it home and use it with my existing applicator, although the product said to apply with your fingers.

I tried it with the applicator, and wasn’t really impressed. It worked well enough, but didn’t seem to give me the same results as the drug store brand.

Then I forgot the applicator tool one day. I had the cream in the shower with me, but no applicator tool. I decided to use it with my fingers.

What a difference! This allergy product is really made to be applied with the fingers. I realized that with my fingers I had much more control over how the cream was applied. I could get closer to my temples and sides of my face without putting the cream in my hair. I also found that I seemed to be getting a better ‘scrub’ with my fingers.

I was sold.

The cream lives up to derma e’s standards of quality and naturalness. There aren’t any parabens or unnatural preservatives. The product has a lovely, delicate smell, and leaves your face clean, tingling, and ready for the moisturizer of your choice. I’d suggest the Peptides Plus product from derma e.
