Aromatherapy Bubble Bath
A calming bath time for baby and mom
Anything that helps a little one sleep is going to be a huge hit with mom and dad. One of the best ways to get a grouchy little one to bed is to give them a bath; it helps calm the baby, but it can also help calm down the parent!
However, if you’re going to bring a bath product into my home, it better be free of harsh chemicals and free of common allergens. Both my husband and son have sensitive skin and can react to harsh chemicals. As a result, I’m very careful with them and I’m equally careful with our newest family member, just in case. So always make sure to use allergy products for the members of my family.
Our favourite bubble bath is an aromatherapy one by California Baby brand. It is free of sodium lauryl sulphate or DEA. Additionally, it’s an ideal allergy product, as it’s free of nut oils, gluten, soy, and dairy!
This bubble bath will make lots of bubbles, but you have to help it a little bit. We find that if the parent running the bath will provide some additional agitation to the water, you’ll have enough bubbles to satisfy even the pickiest child.
This allergy product doesn’t use any harsh chemicals, but instead uses soapbark, yucca and planterines. These ingredients help to create the bubbles. This aromatherapy bubble bath contains a combination of essential oils that create lovely, delicate scent. Our family favourite is the Overtired and Cranky scent, which contains a nice combination of essential oils to relax and rejuvenate your child’s mood and your temperament!
My only gripe with this product is that it uses methylparaben as a microbial. I don’t like parabens, because they mimic estrogens in the body. As a result, we use this allergy product sparingly in order to avoid getting too much of this kind of chemical into small and growing bodies.
