Acupressure for Allergies

Medication-free allergy treatment

Do you get anxious when you have an allergy attack? Well, you’re certainly not alone; in fact, a new allergy treatment directly addresses the emotional association with an allergic reaction.

A new study conducted by Harvard Medical School shows that stress is directly associated with allergic reactions such as hay fever, eczema, as well as asthma. In contrast to the typical approach of studying the reduction or prevention of physical symptoms associated with allergies, this study focused on the emotional implications of allergies.

The Harvard study examined a new form of allergy treatment called the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a drug-free approach to alleviating allergies. This study examined how these techniques affected allergic reactions when negative emotional content was reduced or eliminated.

EFT focuses on balancing the body by use of the energy meridians, in much the same way as acupuncture does. However, the technique focuses on the negative feelings and emotions that are generally connected to an allergic reaction. When the emotions are balanced with the body’s meridians, the physical symptoms of an allergic attack can actually disappear.

The Harvard research showed that EFT can actually help to reduce or eliminate allergic reactions. As such, EFT is a completely novel approach to allergies and their management. Conveniently, EFT doesn’t require a prescription. You don’t need a professional to administer this allergy treatment. In fact, once you know how to do it, you can conduct EFT on yourself.

The researchers behind this study don’t advise using EFT exclusive of conventional medical treatment; rather it can provide an ideal complement. However, it can be helpful in a situation when someone unknowingly encounters an allergen and doesn’t have access to medical treatment. The creator of EFT, Gary Craig, has received reports from users of the technique indicating that EFT has halted anaphylactic reactions long enough for emergency medical assistance to arrive. In addition, some users have even reported a complete reversal of life-long allergies.

You can get a free download of the complete EFT manual from the EFT website.
